A THINK TANK INITIATIVE

 

A non-partisan organization composed of a body of experts providing advice through research and advocacy concerning topics such as social policy, economics, education, technology, and culture.

 

This program is devoted to social research and innovative policy solutions, which will help analyze current and emerging border issues and produce new ideas that matter for our region. Our researchers will be drawn from the University of Texas—Rio Grande Valley, South Texas College, and other institutions that wish to participate and hold diverse points of view for the betterment of our region.

 

Our goal is to educate and empower our marginalized border society in the Rio Grande Valley. We will provide good-quality research and fact-based analysis for opinion leaders, decision-makers, the media, and the interested public on the variety of challenges facing an increasingly interdependent US/Mexican border.

 

We will accomplish these results by improving public policies and by creating opportunities that contribute to well-being and economic success.
